DHARWAD
Lake Unkal

This is between Hubli and Dharwad and considered the pride of the twin cities. Spread over 200 acres this serene lake, with a statue of Swami Vivekananda in the centre, is what the new Taj hotel overlooks. Just walk down and enjoy boat rides and other recreational facilities.


Dharwad Regional Science Center

Near Karnataka University Campus, Dharwad, is the Science and Cultural, a museum in Dharwad which is well organised and maintained with full of information about the science / technology and knowledge about the ancient history of Indian villages/culture. It is really wonderful place to see as a sight-seeing spot.

Banashankari Temple Amargol

Amargol is located in between Dharwad and Hubli, about 9 km from Hubli city centre and adjacent to Navanagar. Banashankari Temple at Amargol is 4 km from Unkal lake and Chandramouleshwara Temple Hubli. A 13th century temple that comes under the Archaelogical Survey of India, it is a rare temple with stepped diamond type of architecture. Close by is another architectural marvel by the renowned sculptor Jakkanacharya.

Utsav Rock Garden

Utsav Rock Garden India is a sculptural garden near Gotagodi, Shiggaon Taluk, Haveri District, Karnataka. It features the contemporary art and rural culture of North Karnataka. It features more than a thousand sculptures, including the sculptural recreation of a typical art village depicting the labors of traditional craftsmen and artisans.
