Just watching him move with his different partners in various seasons of the ABC show and other professional appearances on stage, made the audience go crazy and applaud with fervor, wishing the delightful sight to keep on going much after it ended. They were always waiting every week to watch his fresh moves and even today seek to see him perform once again with new celebrities. This set of videos of some of his dances with different celebrities and one with his own sister Julianne are a feast for the eyes and a thrill for the heart.

About Derek – in brief

Derek Hough, born May 17, 1985, is an American professional Latin and ballroom dancer, choreographer, director, actor, singer-songwriter, and musician.

Since September 2007, Hough has become known for his work on the ABC dance-competition series, Dancing with the Stars, on which he has won a record six seasons. With a total of eight nominations, he has won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography for several routines that he choreographed for the show.

Hough grew up the fourth of five children in a Latter-day Saint (Mormon) family in Sandy, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. He is the son of Marianne and Bruce Hough and has four sisters, Sharee, Marabeth, Katherine, and Julianne (a professional dancer herself).

All of his grandparents were dancers, and his parents met while on a ballroom dancing team in college in Idaho.

But that does not take away the merits of Derek’s personal talent.
