JAGANATHPURI

City of the Lord, Shree Jagannnath Puri is a sacred place and one of the four Dhams for pilgrimage that Hindus should visit at least once in their lifetime for Moksha. It is also the venue for the spectacular Jagannath Rath Yatra conducted every year in July. The temple was built in the 11th century A.D. Puri has a spectacular coastline, many enchanting places in and around to visit and incidentally is also the hub for a special variety of handloom sarees, the Patta chitra or Patachitra.
