Unnati Silk Private Limited came into existence in the year 1980, in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. The word "Unnati" is taken from Sanskrit language, which means "constant progress towards success". Right from its congenital days, the inherent objective has been to deliver the best to our customers. We made a humble beginning from one small store and gradually expanded into a humongous textile magnate. While manufacturing sarees has always been our forte, we have also diversified in the field of printing sarees and dress materials.
In the process of our development, we realized that there is lot of requirement for original, elegant, artistic designs which were required to be incorporated in the manner in which the sarees, dress material were printed. And so we established a separate textile printing unit registered under the small scale industrial policy in the year 1993. Our main area of expertise has always been to come up with creative and trendy designs and at the same time, to use traditional Indian printing methods.
In the year 1995, Unnati was registered as a Private Limited Company. To maintain and improve quality of our products and to offer the most competitive rates to our customers, we established our branch office at the hub of embroidery city, Kolkata in the year 2006. We have a very rich collection of sarees, most of which are our own manufactured products.
In the year 2000, we established another store "The Prakriti" which exclusively stores dress materials (Unstitched Salwar Kameez Fabrics). The word "Prakriti" is taken from Sanskrit language, which means "Nature".
